<\/p>\nIt is a very difficult time, but not for cruises.<\/p>\n
The General Ports Administration (AGP) reported that in the 2016\/2017 season only 88 passenger-ships will arrive to Argentina, when in much better times twice this value was reached.<\/p>\n

To cope with what is coming, AGP convened the National Immigration to change the way the fee is charged: the idea is to stop receiving US$ 14 per passenger per port, moving to collect the same amount per route only. This saving means, strictly speaking, going back to 2014\/2015 scenario.<\/p>\n
Another important step is to book cruises for twice the time in advanced: four years. This unprecedented predictability will be made by electronic way only (by applying e-PuertoBue). The allocation of the spot will be given 48 hours in advance.<\/p>\n
All this was reflected in the new regulations for cruise-ships entering the port of Buenos Aires (resolution 52\/16 AGP) which also states: four spots of berth guaranteed (according to the order of rotation designated) but not more than three sites per day when vessels whose lengths exceeding 260 meters. It will also be managed so that the Cruise Terminal does not operate more than 13,000 people per day.<\/p>\n
